User Datagram Protocol - A communications
protocol used by computers in a network that uses IP. It is an alternate
protocol to TCP.
Uniform Resource Locator (URL) – The address
of a file or web page on the Internet. Example: www.lizardsolutions.com
is a URL.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) – A plug-and-play
interface between a computer and add-on devices (such as audio players,
joysticks, keyboards, telephones, scanners,
and printers). With USB,
a new device can be added to your computer without having to add
an adapter card or even having to turn the computer off.
Upgrade – A new version of, or addition
to, a hardware or software
product that is already installed or in use on the system.
