Gigabyte (GB)
– 1 GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes (it is 2 to the power of 30 bytes), which
is usually known for describing the size of files or hard
disks.
Gigahertz (GHz)– 1GHz = 1billion hertz (1,000,000,000 Hz).
It is a measure of wave frequency and is commonly used to describe
the speed at which a computer's processor runs.
Graphic Interchange Format (GIF) – A format
used for creating graphic files. It is one of the most common formats
used for Internet images. Using special programs, multiple GIFs can
be combined into one to create Animated GIFs. These are small animation
images that can be used to enhance websites while not requiring a
great amount of time to load.
Graphical User Interface (GUI) – A graphical
interaction between users and computers via a pointer and icons instead
of text. |
